It is a painting inspired by being sitting on the beach a calm evening, enjoying the sunset seeing the sea. I wanted to highlight and bring out the light over the water, and I have emphasized the difference between the colours in the horizon, trying to create a more intense effect. The painting has been made with acrylic, and I have used an iron palette and many paintbrushes during the differents stages of the painting.

Chaouen

Do you know Morocco? If you don't, I suggest you that when you travel there you have to visit this small village, Chaouen. It is known as the "blue village". Its houses are painted with blue and white paint, creating a calmness and tranquility dream place. When you walk down the streets it seems to be taken you to the past.

When I was there, I thought it was an ideal topic for a painting, and I think I was right. The colour is so powerful that enrapture the landscape.

This is an acrylic painting. I used an iron palette, paintbrush and natural sponge. The spectrum of colours is composed for a limited number of colours that confers an absolutly unity of colour.

If you can, you have to visit this small village in the North of Morocco.

Elefante

It is a marvellous elephant that it is in the prime of life, isn't it?

You can wonder why an elephant. It is easy to answer: when I made this painting, I was full of interior strenght, and I wanted to express it. Elephants are one of the most powerful animals in the world, but they are very kind, friendly and emanate an incredible sensation of peace.

This elephant were just finishing a mud bath. I think it is a tranquility, peace and confort scene. It is the same sensation that everyone have when, after a hard work day, arrive at home, have a bath, and take all the time in the world to be with yourself.

Everything around the elephant has no interest, so we are alone with this great animal.

Atardecer en Budapest

"Uhmmm!

"What a pleasure afternoon!" This would be someone's thought who has sitten looking at the late afternoon light in Budapest, seeing how desappears light between buildings' shadows and water movement, and being touched by the last sun light.

That sensation is what this painting recalls me: a pleasant sunset sitting in a bench, with people or alone, why not! Now that I am travelling a lot it is a sensation that I know very well, and I have to say that, sometimes, it is a good thing, although there are sometimes that makes me remember dear people who I would like to share those moments of pleasure.
